For some reason I have always liked job boards. No idea why really but they appeal to me. Especially how they have changed over the years, moving from newspapers and tacking signs on boards to today's job board aggregators. I have reported about SimplyHired a number of times and today I had the chance to speak with Indeed's CEO Paul Forster. Both Indeed and SimplyHired are seeing great growth and I believe that growth will continue to rise this year.

Paul will discuss what Indeed is, differentiation from the competition, Jobster's recent free job listing announcement, how Indeed makes money, the team and more. He will also share some tips for the job seeker and some excellent tips for those wanting to start a web app or business.

מדובר בעורף המתחם, הנמצא ברחוב יגאל אלון, בצמוד למרכז החדש שמקימה צ'ק פוינט. לפני מספר חודשים חתם מארגן קבוצות הרכישה, דרור הלוי, על הסכם עם אמפא לרכישת הקרקע על ידי חברי קבוצה עתידית, ועם תדהר, לתכנון, ביצוע ופיקוח של עבודות הפרויקט. ההערכות בשוק הנדל"ן מדברות על עלות קרקע כוללת של כ-50 מיליון דולר שישלמו חברי הקבוצה לאמפא.

בין הרוכשים נמצא סגן נשיא צ'ק פוינט, אייל דשא, שאמר, כי תל אביב כמעט שלא מאפשרת כיום לצעירים לרכוש דירה בעיר. "הפרויקט מאפשר למי מבין עובדי ההיי-טק שרוצה, לגור בתל אביב ולשלם משכנתא בגובה שכר הדירה שהוא משלם כיום עבור דירה ישנה בתל אביב".

Very good friend of mine, Orit, just got back from India.
She wrote a beautiful letter that really moved me with a very clear commitment, that i really liked so i decided to post it in my blog, so i will be able to trace it in the future...
To those of you that can't read Hebrew, please accept my apologies...

"אין לי ארץ אחרת גם אם אדמתי בוערת, רק מילה בעברית... כאן הוא ביתי"

יום שישי, ארבע לפנות בוקר אני מגיעה לארץ שלנו. אני שמחה להיות בהודו ושמחה לחזור לארץ.

בשבועיים האחרונים אני בבומבי אצל אחי, אנחנו מבלים הרבה שעות יחד, לא משנה מה אנחנו עושים. אני נהנית מהנוכחות שלו. כל פעם שאני פוגשת את ליאור אני מרגישה שאני אוהבת אותו יותר...(:

פעם אחרונה שכתבתי היה פסח וחגגתי עם עינת בקאסול. היתה הרגשה של פסח אחר, נורא התגעגעתי לחרוסת שדודים שלי מכינים בחג.

בקאסול ביליתי חלק מהזמן בדאבה (מסעדה מקומית), הדאבה שייכת למשפחה שהיגרה לפני הרבה שנים מנפאל להודו, האבא כרגע בנאפל עם אימו מאחר והיא חולה. האמא והבן מנהלים את המסעדה. הבן מאנו, בן 21, לימד אותי לבשל. דיברנו על כל מיני דברים ואיכשהו הגענו לזה שכל ההודים מנקים את הלשון, בד"כ עם פס אלומיניום בצורת ווי. מישהי אמרה שבגלל שההודים מנקים הלשון בכזו אגרסיביות (זה ממש חד) הם לא מרגישים את הטעם החריף... אין לי מושג אם זה נכון. מאנו סיפר שלפני כמה שנים, בתקופת הלימודים הוא היה רץ ב-5 לפנות בוקר 18 ק"מ, אחרי הריצה הוא היה שותה שתי כוסות מים ואז עם מברשת השיניים הוא היה מקיא, הוא אמר שזה מנקה את הקיבה.
אחותו בת 23 סיימה תואר, אך אין עבודה בתחום. היא אמרה לי שהיתה רוצה להתחתן עם מישהו שיקח אותה ליבשת אחרת, לא משנה לה איפה "רק שזה יהיה רחוק מכאן", היה עצוב לשמוע את זה.
משפחה מתוקה.

לאחר שבוע עינת ואני לקחנו תיק יום ונסענו כשעה לכפר טוש, ירדנו בתחנה האחרונה ומשם התחלנו לטפס בגבעה. תחילת הדרך חסומה בפרות, הפרות הנחמדות הואילו בטובן לפנות את השביל התלול והבוצי
באיזשהו שלב קלטתי שאנחנו לבד בטבע, ההרים מסביב אנחנו בדרך למקום שאין לי באמת מושג
היכן, השקיעה בקרוב ויש באמתחתנו רק מים וריבה (פסח, זוכרים?!)
לאחר עליה של קרוב לשעה הגענו לכפר, הכפר נמצא על הר ואין גישה לכלי תחבורה, את האספקה לכפר נושאים על הגב. בכפר יש אוירה שלווה, כמו בחלום שלי... אנשים חביבים ונעימים, עד כה ראיתי הרבה פרות ושם זו היתה הפעם ראשונה שאני שומעת פעיית פרה אפילו הגדיים מקפצים בשמחה... זה ממש הרגיש שהם שמחים במנת חלקם.

למחרת חזרנו לקאסול ונסענו באוטובוס מקומי למנאלי כשהאוטובוס הגיע הוא היה מלא אז עלינו עם התרמילים על הגג, את חמש השעות הבאות בילינו על הגג. היה מ-ע-ל-ף!!!
כביש צר, תהום בכל צד, נוף עוצר נשימה... כשהנסיעה החלה השמש זרחה, נוף הררי, שמים מדהימים. אנשים מנפנפים לשלום מהמרפסות. האוטובוס עבר דרך ישובים. בצידי הכביש בתים פרטיים או דו-קומותיים, מסעדות, חנויות. אפשר היה לראות על הגג נשים מתרווחות להן על כסאות רחבים עשויים מקש. פתאום ראיתי את עצמי בילדות מסתכלת על ההורים שלי יושבים ביום בשבת בנחת בדשא על כסאות נוח, אוכלים פירות ופיצוחים, מדברים וקוראים.
בהמשך הנסיעה הטמפרטורה ירדה והתעטפנו בשמיכה, באיזשהו שלב טיפטף מעט גשם הסתכלתי על האדוות שנוצרו מהטיפות והרגשתי געגוע, פתאום הבנתי שפספסתי חורף אחד...

במנאלי בפעם הראשונה "הקשבתי" לדת ממקום אחר, חנוך, בחור חרדי שהיה אחראי בבית חב"ד ממש נגע בי. השמחה שבו, ההקשבה, האהבה לאנשים, הנדיבות והחריצות. בערב חג שני היה חסר אחד למנין. הוא הלך לחפש וחזר בידיים ריקות. שאלתי אם יש מנין הוא אמר "מצאתי מישהו אבל הוא אמר שהוא עסוק" ולא הוסיף, הוא לא גיחך, לא היתה נימה של שיפוטיות, אכזבה או זלזול כמו שיש הרבה פעמים לדתיים, מצאתי את עצמי הולכת ומביאה את הבחור הזה למנין. תארו לכם אותי, מביאה מישהו למנין... חנוך היה כל כך מסור לכל דבר שהיה סביבו. כנראה רציתי להוקיר תודה על האדם שהוא.

ממנאלי המשכתי עם יונתן לפאתליקול, רגע לפני העליה לאוטובוס נקעתי את הקרסול. אחי אומר שהרשיתי לעצמי ליפול כי ידעתי שמישהו ידאג לי. אני מניחה שהוא צודק.
בפאתליקול ביליתי יומיים במיטה, רגל למעלה עם קרח. מול המיטה היה חלון ע-נ-ק-י שדרכו ראיתי עצים, הרים ופסגה מושלגת, מרפסת בקומה השניה בבית ממול, היתה שם אישה שנושאת תינוק ואישה נוספת שמנקה ומשרתת אותם כל היום. את העיר חוויתי דרך יונתן שחזר עם תמונות וסיפורים.

משם נסענו לנאגר. קיבלתי מקל הליכה מבעל הגסטהאוס ויכולתי להסתובב קצת. רוב הזמן ביליתי בדאבה עם נאטו ואחיותיה למדתי סופסוף להכין פארוטה. תמיד תהיתי איך הם מצליחים להכין את המילוי לתוך הפיתה בלי שהמילוי יחליק החוצה...

לאחר יומיים נסענו לדלהי. מדלהי נסעתי ברכבת לבומבי, 24 שעות. ברכבת הייתי עם שתי נשים בנות 44 מאמסטרדם, הרגשתי איתן כמו משפחה. שתיהן לפני ארבע דורות היו בהודו, החמימות ההודית נשמרה עם השנים...(: היה מרתק לשמוע את ההיסטוריה של אבותיהן.

הטיול הגיע לתומו.
גדלתי,
התבגרתי,
למדתי שאני יכולה לסמוך על עצמי.
למדתי שהמשפט: "החיים הם כמו ראי", זו לא עוד קלישאה.
את הטיול התחלתי עם המשפט מהשיר של ביטלס
"always look on the bright side of life..."
כשהיה לי עצוב ניגנתי את השיר בראש ומצב הרוח התרומם.
עם זאת, למדתי שזה בסדר לפעמים להיות עצובה וגם לזה צריך לתת מקום.

ו... שהחיים שלנו הם כל כך זמניים ושחשוב חשוב חשוב להנות, להתרגש ולאהוב!!


עם החזרה אני מתכוונת להתמקד בקריירה ובזוגיות.
אני מתכננת לפתוח קליניקה עד ה-15.07 ולעסוק במה שאני אוהבת.

Change language in Blogger

Very useful when Google decides to change the language you use according to your IP.

I have the same problem in Korea. Its so annoying. Even though my
account in configured for English, Blogger chooses the language based
on IP sometimes. The best work-around I've found is to go to google
and search for: "choose blogger language." The first link will take
you to a page that lets you chose the language. Then go login and
everything should be find. I don't know why Blogger can't choose
language based on the actual account settings rather than IP. Their
help page says its based on the browser language settings, but that's
not true. Sometimes, on my English Vista, English Firefox, it will go
to a Korean language setting because I'm at a Korean IP.

Sports shop in Beijing - Decathlon

Today me and Gili went to a shopping mall in Dongzhimen Wai da jie (next to Guy's gym). The reason was to buy an abdomen shaping tool. Tommorow we will go to another place called Decathlon, that Aya recommended. It should be around east 4th ring road and have a lot of thing to buy related to sport.
